National Institute for Engineering Ethics (NIEE): Since 2001 the NIEE has been housed at Texas Tech University. It is a cooperative effort among engineering societies and other groups with an interest in promoting engineering ethics. The goal of NIEE is to provide programs that support engineering ethics through education, communication, program and project development, and practice applications. A primary role of the Institute is to encourage cooperation among individuals, universities, professional and technical societies and business organizations with regard to engineering ethics and professionalism issues.
