In 2010 MSU Libraries purchased a second Sanborn module which contains detailed historic maps of 12 major metropolitan areas in the United States (see list below). This module has better navigation and features than our Michigan module. Sanborn Geo Edition can locate maps by searching a street address, by specifying a latitude/longitude coordinate, or by clicking on a Google Maps interface. Dates of maps vary, but generally for each location you will see 6 to 8 editions between 1880-1960. An MSU NetID is required for access. Visitors may use one of our "Selected Resources" computers in the MSU Libraries.
