Michigan State University Libraries has arranged for free trial access to Morgan & Claypool's Synthesis Digital Library of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. This trial period will last through the end of October. Please feel free to pass information about this Synthesis along to your students as well. To access the this resource you can to the MSU Libraries Trial Resources page at http://er.lib.msu.edu/eval.cfm and click on Synthesis or click on http://www.morganclaypool.com/ for a direct link to Synthesis. Since this resource uses IP authentication, you should not need a user ID or password.

Synthesis provides broad coverage of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science but also includes some coverage of engineering in general such as Engineering, Poverty and the Earth: http://www.morganclaypool.com/doi/pdfplus/10.2200/S00088ED1V01Y200704ETS004. The content is not available elsewhere. The content level in Synthesis ranges from state-of-the-art research overviews such as: Transactional Memory:
http://www.morganclaypool.com/doi/abs/10.2200/S00070ED1V01Y200611CAC002
to presentations appropriate for undergraduates or professionals seeking a review such as Pragmatic Circuits: DC and Time Domain: http://www.morganclaypool.com/doi/abs/10.2200/S00031ED1V01Y200605DCS002
During the trial period you are free to view, print and download whatever you would like without restriction. Most importantly please let me know at volkenin@msu.edu if you believe this material would be helpful for you and your students.
