Thomson Reuters just released their first-ever Endnote app for the iPad. The app allows users to easily view, edit, organize, and share their research materials directly from their iPad. It also supports in-app PDF annotation, includes a built-in Web browser, and has direct export capabilities.

The new iPad app uses the sync capabilities of Endnote Web to synchronize reference data across platforms and devices. Users with Endnote installed on their desktop can synchronize their reference library to their iPad using their Endntoe Web account. MSU users can sign up for a free Endnote Web account through any of the ISI Web of Knowledge databases provided by the MSU Libraries, as well as attend free training for both Endnote and Endnote Web.

For more information on the new Endnote iPad app, see the press release or frequently asked questions.

After February 11, 2013 it will increase to its regular price of $9.99.

We are pleased to announce that the MSU Libraries now has access to the EMBASE database.

EMBASE is the European, commercially produced, counterpart to MEDLINE and includes indexing for an additional 1800 journals (approximately 7000 total). It covers the most important international biomedical literature from 1974 to the present day. It also includes more than 600,000 conference abstracts published in journals and journal supplements since 2009. It has a more international focus and covers more literature on drug and pharmacological sources than MEDLINE.

The MSU Libraries' subscription to EMBASE also includes all of the MEDLINE records back to 1950. It could be viewed as a database for one-stop-shopping of the biomedical journal literature . Redundant records between MEDLINE and EMBASE are de-duplicated.

Access can be had through multiple points from the MSU Libraries’ web pages:
