This one interface provides statistical information from over 590 government and private sources. Select and manipulate datasets, make comparisons, chart trends over time, and spatially represent data without having to use additional software programs.



Business Book Summaries are here!


This database has over 5,000 book summaries in all areas of business including advertising, human resources, international business, management, marketing, supply chain management, and more.

Elsevier backfiles are here! (Economics, Econometrics, and Finance journals)

Staff News

Librarian Laura Leavitt was promoted to Assistant Head of the Gast Business Library in July, 2010.

Also, in July 2010, librarian Kara Rawlins moved to Kansas, where her husband is stationed with the military. Michelle Allen has come aboard from the Main Library and is assigned the subject areas of management, marketing, and supply chain management.

Betty Holmer, library assistant, accepted a full-time position at the Main Library and her replacement is Nora Carr.

New Shelving Units and Furniture

Summer was a busy time at the Business Library! Compact shelving was installed and journals and books are now interfiled instead of housed in separate locations. More study carrels were added to the back of the library by the windows to expand the quiet area. New furniture will be arriving this semester so stop in and visit!

Collaborative Technology Lab Reservations

The Business Library's collaborative technology lab has become a very popular meeting space. This room is equipped with an interactive SmartBoard, videoconferencing capabilities, a DVD player, two plasma screens, and a projector. A laptop is available for check-out when using the room. Priority use of this room will be given to faculty, students, and staff in the Broad College of Business and the School of Human Resources & Labor Relations. Priority will also be given to those groups requiring use of the room’s technology (plasma screens, SmartBoard, videoconferencing, etc.). To reserve this room, please e-mail a business librarian at gastbus@bus.msu.edu or call 355-3380.
