Meet our newest health sciences librarian, Chana Kraus-Friedberg! She just started working for MSU Libraries in July 2017.
Prior to joining our team, Kraus-Friedberg earned her PhD in Archaeology from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She worked in the UNC Chapel Hill Health Sciences Library, was a Reference and Instruction Intern at the Duke University Perkins Library, and has also worked as an Instructional Designer, Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow, and Critical Writing Fellow.
In Kraus-Friedberg’s primary assignment as health sciences librarian, she specializes in the subject area of medicine. She connects MSU faculty, students, and staff to a wide array of information resources and services related to medicine and especially looks forward to working with medical residents across the state of Michigan.
In addition to her work in health sciences, you will also find her on the Reference Desk as part of her secondary assignment. As a reference librarian, she enjoys interacting with researchers and the rewarding feeling of helping them find exactly what they are looking for.
