“Google’s algorithms assume the world’s future is nothing more than the next moment in a random process. George Gilder shows how deep this assumption goes, what motivates people to make it, and why it’s wrong: the future depends on human action.” — Peter Thiel, founder of PayPal

Looking for a succinct history of the blockchain or Google? Need a relationship tree of all the tech billionaires at the core of the Google empire? Check out Life after Google: The Fall of Big Data and the Rise of the Blockchain Economy

Futurist, author, visionary George Gilder takes aim at Google to warn consumers of the fallacies that built the behemoth—namely, that everything is free.

Gilder writes, “With a few small (but significant exceptions), everything Google offers to its "customers" is free. Internet searches are free. Email is free. The vast resources of the data centers, costing Google an estimated thirty billion dollars to build, are provided essentially free. Free is not by accident.”

Before expounding on his 10 Laws of the Cryptocosm, Gilder asserts that the most basic building block of any information technology is security.

In sum, Security = Blockchain in a world beyond Google.
